Where Is District 69?

A legislative district is more than arbitrary political lines drawn by a machine. It is a living, breathing ecosystem of families, local parks, and shared community roots. Let us find where you plant your seeds.

Civic Ecosystem

Rooted in Our Neighborhoods

Our campaign views District 69 not as a political battlefield, but as a community garden that thrives when every single resident is connected, represented, and heard.

Now, you may be wondering, “Where exactly is District 69? Do I live in District 69?”

If you start in the middle of the Arkansas River, just west of Maumelle you’d travel north to Mayflower and include beautiful downtown Mayflower (Go Hornets!) but not all of the Mayflower metroplex. Continue north toward Conway … but don’t step in it.

Wrap around the east Conway just over the top of the “Y” of beautiful Lake Conway (still under construction) and head east toward Cabot … but don’t step in it.

Just before Cabot, head south to Jacksonville … but don’t step in it. Head back east including the Little Rock Air Force Base (Thank you for your service, Aim High – Fly, Fight, Win) and head west toward Gravel Ridge … but don’t step in it.

Loop around the north margin of Gravel Ridge and cut across The Army National Guard’s Training Center Camp Joseph T. Robinson, (Thank you for your service - Always Ready, Always There). Coming out of the Camp, you head toward Maumelle … and , well, you step in it, - just barely, maybe with one toe. Mysteriously, you jiggy jag around to pick up one small neighborhood in the northwest margin of Maumelle.

Interestingly, this just happens to be the neighborhood in which our District Representative lives. Now I don’t know if that is by design or by happenstance, possibly just a very fortunate coincidence. And look, I’m absolutely no one to throw stones. If you want to throw stones, stand on my back porch and throw a stone, it’ll land in District 70 where my good friend Casandra Hays is stepping up to represent. Whoop whoop! If you live in Maumelle, show some love.

If you step out on my side porch and throw a stone, it lands in District 71. Shout out to my man Alex Holladay. Sherwood, you’ve already made a great choice once already this year, I know you can do it again!

But my front porch, opens up into beautiful Arkansas District 69!

District zoning is an important part of the election process in a Representative Democracy like ours. This past couple of years, we’ve been hearing a lot about redrawing districts. Gerrymandering is the process of drawing district lines to manipulate communities in an unfair effort to keep a particular group in power, who could not maintain power based simply on their broad public support. This is opposed to drawing district line to ensure that communities feel best represented in their state government. Our Arkansas motto is “Regnat Populus” or “the People Rule”.

When was the last time you felt well represented by your state government?
